ps, meant to say re; sidetracks especially musical... well, after i misread a prompt as Wedding List instead of Waiting List (so Kate Bush instead of the Stones' 'I am Waiting'?) i ended up on a real research adventure that has so far taken me to Rudolph Valentino's funeral, tracing mysterious Women in Black, Truffaut movies, Iggy Pop and back to the Stones*...!! LOL!
*which, considering i'm a die hard Pretties fan seems to happen a helluva lot!
Hey! Sorry I've been a bit awol lately. I've been trying, briefly succeeding and then failing once more to sort out my sleeping patterns. I've come to the realisation I need to start doing more stuff. Any chance I could get involved in that Shakespeare group you mentioned before? It could be just what I need to um... *ahem* (forgive me) Shake things up a bit.
Back (belatedly) onto the subject of sidetrackery - I've been carrying on with Dylan. I've dug out Tell Tale Signs from the bootleg series for tonight and reminded myself how gorgeous Red River Shore is.
I've also been digging through film noir and Raymond Chandler inspired chiefly by obsessively playing L.A. Noire. I've got my own hardboiled detective cooking away. I was trying to write something for this week's Writerverse Quick Fics - the bonus points this week is for writing a mystery so it should be perfect - but I don't know if I can get something I'm happy with by the 5am submission time.
